So very lost

I had been so very lost
Until I met your eye –
And now – I’ve lost myself, and me
My consciousness
– yet found my inner I!

I didn’t even know I had it
And now – I search for reason
Since I saw you at the pulpit,
But my heart will not yield to treason!

I recall our first “hello!” –
How I felt so very lost!
And now – our last goodbye
forever haunting me
– like a wild ghost.

I never thought I’d care
– my feelings going off with such a launch?
And now – I’ve fallen into despair
Whilst my heart gathers its tears
      –  in a pretty bunch.
